Product Safety & GPSR Compliance

How LazerdizaynCo meets the EU General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation 2023/988) — manufacturer identity, EU Authorised Representative, product safety information and how to report a safety concern.

LazerdizaynCo is committed to selling products that are safe for consumers across the European Union. This page sets out the information required under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/988, "GPSR"), which has applied to all products placed on the EU market since 13 December 2024. It identifies the manufacturer, our EU Authorised Representative, the safety information that applies to our products, and the channel you should use to report a safety concern.

2. EU Authorised Representative

For the purposes of GPSR Article 16(2), our authorised representative within the European Union is:

The Authorised Representative holds a copy of the technical documentation and EU Declaration of Conformity for our product range and is the first point of contact for EU market-surveillance authorities.

3. Product Categories and Safety Information

3.1 Non-Electronic Acrylic & Metal Signs and Wall Décor

This category covers business signs, wayfinding plaques, decorative wall art, QR-code signs and similar products that do not contain electronic components or LED illumination.

Safety information:

  • Sharp edges may be present on cut metal and acrylic — handle with care during unpacking and installation; we recommend wearing protective gloves.
  • Use the supplied stand-offs, screws or adhesive strips for the wall material the sign is intended for. Verify the wall can support the sign's weight before mounting.
  • Keep small parts (stand-offs, washers, fixings) away from children under 3 — choking hazard.
  • Indoor use only unless the product page specifies an outdoor-grade material.
  • Clean with a soft dry or barely-damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, alcohol-based solvents or pressure washing.

3.2 Illuminated Acrylic & Metal Signs (Electronic)

This category covers LED-illuminated metal wall décor, neon-style LED signs and any product that includes an electronic LED assembly with a low-voltage DC adapter.

Safety information:

  • Indoor use only. The product is not weather-rated and must not be installed outdoors.
  • Keep away from water — do not install in bathrooms, saunas, swimming-pool areas or any environment subject to splashing or condensation.
  • Use only the supplied 12 V DC adapter. Do not connect the LED assembly directly to mains voltage. Replace the adapter only with an equivalent CE-marked unit of the same voltage and current rating.
  • Inspect the cable and adapter before each use. Stop using and unplug immediately if you see damaged insulation, exposed wiring, scorch marks or any sign of overheating.
  • Do not cover the LED strip with fabric, paper or any other combustible material — heat may build up.
  • Keep small parts (stand-offs, mounting hardware, adapter) away from children under 3 — choking and electrical hazards.
  • The product is not a toy and is not suitable for use by children. Adult supervision is required during installation.
  • Disconnect the power adapter before any maintenance, cleaning or repositioning.
  • The LED module is non-user-serviceable. If the LED fails within the warranty period, contact us for repair or replacement — do not attempt to open the module.

4. Compliance Marks

Where applicable, illuminated products carry the CE marking on the product or its packaging, in line with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU. Electronic products and their packaging also carry the WEEE (crossed-out wheelie-bin) symbol, indicating that the item must be disposed of through a separate-collection scheme rather than household waste at end of life. Our products comply with the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU restricting the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

5. Reporting a Safety Concern

If you believe a product purchased from us presents a safety risk, please stop using it immediately and report the issue through any of the channels below. We will acknowledge every report within 1 business day and will, where appropriate, notify our EU Authorised Representative and the relevant market-surveillance authority.

When you report, please include: order number, product name, photographs of the issue, a description of what happened and whether anyone was injured. This helps us trace the batch quickly and decide whether a recall, product modification or customer notice is needed.

6. Recalls and Public Notices

Any product recall or public safety notice issued by us will be published on this page and emailed to the affected customers within 48 hours of the decision being taken. We do not currently have any active recalls.

7. Updates to this Page

We update this page when our product range, manufacturing partners, EU Authorised Representative or applicable safety standards change. The "Effective date" at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
